River Birch Phase 2'''', Now it's time to move From: formerRBtenant Date posted: 6/24/2007 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2007   River Birch used to be one complex, and I am not sure if the ownership ran into cash flow issues, but it sold off the "Front" and the birth of River Birch Phase 2 came to be. I have lived here for abour 4 years. I was excited to move in, the apartments were brand new and I was the first to ever live in my one bedroom. I wanted a bigger place so I moved into a 2 bedroom. The staff was friendly and there were constantly community events. Then management cleaned house and everyone was gone, since then there have been 4 complete staff changes including the maintenance crew, my girlfriend nicknamed the current maintenance staff Dumb and Dumber. Rent started very reasonable, and started to creep up slightly as you would expect. Then on the last management change, the rents rocketed up to a smaller home mortgage, high 800's to high 900's. You see people moving out every weekend.. And rarely will you see someone moving in.. One of my neighbors moved out about 3 months ago, because their rent went up over 1000 (Are you kidding me, to live in the newly formed Ghetto'). I suppose this increase in rent is a way to keep the crime out, oh, wait that didn't work.... Cars broken into, stolen, gun fire like the O.K. Corral and apartment break ins. I suppose River Birch didn't like being a decent place to live as it quickly became surrounded by Little Havana and Little Mexico City, the old sayin' if you can't beat them, join them.. And they did in force. Meth Labs busted just across the fence at neighboring complexes. Perhaps that's what Phase 2 means, Not the second phase to the complex but a completely different living environment from when you moved in originally. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.. Not because of crime because that is everywhere and you really can't control that, but because the staff is incompent, loosing rent checks non-responsive and forget maintenance.. And don't forget ROCKETING rent increases.
