Looks can be deceiving

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
I originally moved here from Nashville, so I didn't know the area when I found this apartment. It looks nice, lots of big trees, pretty pond, decent looking buildings. It really wasn't all that bad when I moved here. I've been too lazy to move, but it's caught up to me. Unfortunately, I do not feel safe here at all now. This has been a progressive thing.
My neighbor's apt was broken into one night. Someone tried to kick down her door, then they smashed the window and took some cash. My car and my fiance's truck were both seriously scratched by children's bike handles. Somehow they managed to get 4 different panels. This looks very deliberate and the most likely parties were about 9 years old and unsupervised.
I heard gunshots the other night. I've heard lots of firecrackers too. After the gunshots, you get kinda jumpy. The office staff is rude at all times basically. My old neighbor's girlfriend had her car stolen from right from the parking lot one day. It was the only one without an alarm.
There was a leak from my upstairs neighbor's air conditioner (maintainence hooked the hot water hose to it) and was soaking up from the floor of my carpet. I paged maintainence, but nobody responded until the next day. Good thing it didn't get too much worse. They ripped out my padding underneath and said someone would be by to replace it and clean it all up. They said this every day for a week. Finally they came.
One Saturday I saw a small water leak outside my building. I called maintainence to fix this, thinking it might get worse over the weekend. They did nothing, and by midnight, there was a 40ft gusher into the air on the hill above my apt. Because the drains under the sidewalk aren't cleaned properly, the water couldn't go anywhere except for my patio and several of my neighbor's patios. The only thing that stopped this was a neighbor calling the fire department and they opened a hydrant to stop the water from going farther.
Basically, anything that could happen, has. They're trying to raise my rent by $45 this time. There is no way I'm paying that much to live in this hellhole. I'm outta here as soon as possible. I hate this place more and more everyday.
