Just to put this out there to let all persons looking for a good residence Sandhurst will screw you over big time. I moved to sandhurst in 2007 and moved feb. 2009. I could not wait to move from sandhurst. The office manager and maintence men are up to some illegal activity such illegally evicting people from the residence. The walls are thin and i resided in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment next to mine on bothsides were three bedroom aprtments and i could here everything. The people next to me had kids and they ran up and down the stairs allday long, the kids cried and the mom yelled all day. I could here when people pulled up outside to visit other neighbor it was just horrible but I had to do what I could until I got myself together to move. My problems really started When i decided to move from sandhurst i wanted to do the right and thing and put in all the proper paperwork to vacate the property. I did. My move out date was the 14th of febuary but i started to transition my move on the 3rd of the month. The office even gave me a prorated amount for the month since i was moving on the 14 of febuary. When i got my movers to come in and move the furniture to the new house I told them to take everything that was in boxes and I would come back to get the items that could fit into my car. Everyday up until the 11th of feb. i had been returning to the apartment to get my items that were left behind for me to get. I assumed all of my items that i had not move would be there up until the 14th. well i was wrong on the 11th of feb. i came back only to find out that the apartment had been cleaned and empty. I was highly upset.I still had the keys and None of my items were there. I called the police to make a braking and entering report because the apartment had stolen my things. And the officer agreed that if i put in my notice to vacate the property was not to remove my things until after the 14th. I contacted the Sandhurst the 11th which was the day the apartment had been cleaned abut it was after 6pm so i got someone in their message center they the gave me the property managers name Loretta and told me to contact her the next day. I did contact her and she did not know where my things were. when i got to work i had the police contact them to see what was going on. They admitted that thery lost my move out papers and that moving my things was a mistake. Two days later they called me and told me that they found my items and that they were back into the apartment. When I arrived some of my items were there out not all like my loptop computer, jewerly, crystal glasses that I had and they had retreive my items from the dumpters. Item were contaminated with beer and other stuff and in the bags with my belognings were more trash. my printer has dirt on it and no cords. I felt very hurt. I told them I was takin them to court and they offered me a 500.00 settlement but to me thats not even enough compared to cost of my damaged items I have taken this to a whole nother legal matter and reccomend that you know what you are getting into when moving to sandhurst.
