After living at The Springs at Steele Creek for 10 months I decided NOT to renew my lease. First off, I caught teenagers having sex numerous times in the parking lot. Coming home at night was a night mare. No parking, drug dealers hanging around the complex. Several of my neighbors had their cars broken into and a couple of apartments right next to the office were broken into during the day. It seems that 75% of the people that live here don't speak english, love to sit on the front steps or their patios drinking and calling out to every female that walks by no matter their age.

The office staff has changed so many times that everytime I enter the office it seems like I'm seeing a new face. They wanted to increase my rent by 35 dollars, when they give crappy maintenance and customer service sucks!! The newest office staff is the rudest that I have every run across, and I have lived in apartments for a number of years.

None of the outside lights work. Have been telling the office staff and maintenance staff but nothing gets fixed. The only lights that work are the ones that Duke Energy is responsible to take care of. The ones on the buildings have been out since before I moved in.

Do yourself a favor and run as far and fast as you can. Don't lease, it is one of the worst places. Don't take my word for it, drive the community at night and see the horror show for yourself.

This person is way off the mark... I live in the building that is almost next to the office. I have seen NONE of this. Granted I moved here in 2007 whereas this person lived there in 2006 but again I have not encountered any of this.

I lived at the Springs for about a year and I thought it was the worst time of my life. I was newly married and needed an inexpensive place to rent. They had great move-in specials and two of my friends lived there so we decided to move-in...that was the worst mistake of my life. The pool is always dirty, the apartments below me were out of hand. One of them was robbed and luckily they got evicted, but none the less those same tenants were still always there. The Springs was horrible. Management was awful, Candace was the only nice person in the office, and the Property Manager was never there. No good. I would not reccommend it to anyone.
