I've only lived here a couple of months, moving here from Raleigh and have been satisfied. Maintenance has been very responsive and even helped set up my closet with new shelves to fit ALL of my clothes. As far as the previous comment, yes Charlotte has a huge crime problem, but the complex can't be blamed for cars that were broken into that were parked on the road. No matter where you go, your car could get broken into.
