This is quickly becoming the worst place to live in Charlotte. Unless you are a section 8 resident, then you will fit right in. The apartments were once located in a nice community(stonehaven) but over the last 2 years more and more section 8 has moved in. With section 8 comes Drugs Violence Theft vandalism and tons of kids who roam the complex in packs like wild animals. Now I will elaborate on the Ratings. Q1; Only 8 Parking spaces per building quests seem to think its for them, many times I had to park in an Adjacent buildings parking spaces and carry groceries halfway across the complex. Q2; Very quite inside the apartments but that could be because most are poor and cant afford anything(my newest downstairs neighbor moved in with 2 cots and a baby crib with a few dishes and that was it). Q3; Just your basic trees and shrubs nothing to write home about. Q4; Lighting along the Driveways but none to cover parking spaces we have seen about 35 breakins since we moved here, our own car was broken into 4 times and my wifes work van 2 times. No lighting to cover buildings either most of the "porch/stairway" lights work but not all. Q5; Cloth bound wiring in some apartments Very tiny Central AC units, we are on the second floor and summer electric bills average 180.00 because the AC stays on 24/7 to keep it around 75 degrees. Q6; Very cheap appliances(basic) no options just 1 or 2 dials and start button when they break after 2 months its usually a 2-3 week wait for replacement parts. Q7; 2000 when we moved in Staff was excellent 2002 Guardian Management took over fired everyone and brought in idiots. now we are on our 3rd management company and they brought in "shaniqua" who sits around waiting for your rent payment and thats about it. Q8; Overall its terrible they charge in your rent that they have a laundry facility but you still have to pay to use it.(coin operated) and the government housing residents across the street walk with their 6 kids to our laundry facility. Roaches have become a problem in the last month or so and they have not sprayed for bugs in over a year.(spiders, ants and such) We are moving out in Aug 05 for a better, less gov assisted living area. In 200 We would have given this place a 5.0 In 2002 a 3.5 now we give it a flat 0.0. also if you see the deposit we had to put down first and last month rent, non-refundable security deposit of 500.00 and non-refundable pet deposit of 350.00.
