My husband and I were fully expecting to be living here. We really liked the fact you can walk to the all shops. Community looked very clean, apartments were very large. We parked at the Fresh Market and walked to the office, just to look around. Bad idea. The lady in the office refused to let us in her car. Regulations, she said. So we had to go all the way back and get the car. Then we picked up a lease form. About a million pages. They immediately started pressuring us about signing ASAP. Fees, fees, fees! There actually wanted the whole pet fee before we moved in and were sure we were going to have a pet. Just mentioning it was enough. All told, it was going to cost $750 (non- refundable) just to hold an apt. Their tone, attitude was rude and hostile. Refused to explain anything, just "That's our policy." I'm a very friendly person, just like to understand what I'm paying for. If they treat potential residents like this, can't imagine how they'd treat you later.

She didn't let you in her car because it's a liability issue. If something happens to you while you are riding on the golf cart, the company is covered by insurance. Something happens to you while you're in her personal vehicle, they are royally screwed. Make sense?
