i have to admit i haven't lived there for a year so i'm not up to date on all the current events. but when i did live there. i moved to sun valley on new years eve 2004 and stayed until june 2005. it was a nightmare the WHOLE time. i had checked it out during the day, and my parents did as well. it seemed like a great place. the FIRST MONTH i lived there my car was stolen! of course the apt didnt care about that. in the apartments around me there were crackheads (seriously) in a couple of apts, and in the others there lived about 10 -------- each apt. i felt safer going to a laundromat on nations ford rd than going to the one in the complex. i lived in the studio building. anyways, ill be honest, i got a bit noisy from time to time, as a LOT of people do. it wasnt all the time, not even usually. i never got a noise ordinance. in june, i had a few people over and the security called the cops, instead of asking us to keep it down. the cops came and found nothing wrong, they told us it was just a bunch of crap. the guards kept harrassing us all night. after the cops came we had already toned it down, but the guards wouldnt leave us alone. the morning after that, bob pounded on the door and proceeded to BREAK INTO my apartment with 2 maitenance guys. my friend was looking out the peephole and she was knocked back and pinned behind the door when he slammed it open. i had friends over sleeping on the floor. they stepped on them, and came in yelling, waking me and my guests up. when i woke up and went outside, bob starts yelling at me that i have THREE days to get out. and i said id be gone. three days to move out! on top of that, for those three days, they wouldnt allow me to have visitors or anyone over, not even to help me move. making me a prisoner in my own home. i moved everything to storage. on the third day as i was finishing moving my stuff, they turned off my water, and bob paid me another visit making sure id be gone. i said id be gone by the end of the day. and sure enough i was. i thought that would be the end and i wouldnt have to deal with sun valley anymore. wrong. after they forced me to move out, they said i owed them $1400 for terminating the lease. and now my credit is ruined. i had to drop out of summer college and lived in my car for a couple months because i had nowhere to live...what really sucks is that i have no hard proof to present on my behalf to make the collection agency stop calling..only the word of me and my guests against bob's.

yes you can do something all you have to do is get in contact with lawyer services in charlotte thell them your story and they can help you. Go to the complex get statements from people that know this story, have your guest write down ther story with date and time. You should have also called the police the day they came and entered the apartment illegaly. Have your parents also get you an attorney, have a proccesor serve the with papers to small claims court for the damages, fight dont give up they cant do that I was going to move here i am glad i read your story.

I lived there in 2005 and my story is similar...Sun Valley is the worst place to live. Bob is a pain, and one of the ladies in the office is a hooker. Plus there are murders, drug deals, and gangs living there. I am a young female and I got sexually harassed every day. I got followed home every night. Its a nightmare. Charlotte needs to do something useful with that place and turn it into a parking lot. Maybe it would kill the massive amounts of cockroaches that live there too...
