We lived there for a year.. and it became almost unbearable by the end. As the place filled up, the problems increased, and the management acted as if their hands were tied at every point.

First, there was problem after problem with mail delivery. Weeks would go by with no mail. They told us to call the post office. Hello' That is why we rent - so that we don't have to deal with the normal hassles of being a home owner!

The landscaping is a mess except for at the front entrance. Dead grass, dead trees, and dead plants, and mud everywhere when it rains. And bugs - oh my god - spiders EVERYWHERE!!!

Then the dogs moved in.. dogs everywhere.. and dog poop EVERYWHERE.. big dog poop. They sent out a letter, but the dog poop remained, and multiplied.. gross!

Then, as more people started moving in around us, the noise happened. On every side of us we were more than aware of our neighbors on a regular basis. I'm talking walls the thickenss of a sheet of paper. We could hear conversations, drawers and doors opening and closing, the tv, toilets flushing.. you name it, we heard it. When we brought the issue to the people in the office's attention, the manager informed us that it was simply part of apartment living. Maybe it's part of apartment living at Blakeney.. but there are better options in the area.

I wonder how much of our rent went to pay for the most unhelpful and quite frankly unfriendly women that worked up there. The guy that does the leasing is nice - but he isn't "management". The manager actually confronted us, thinking that we had posted a previous bad review on here, and tried to "call me into her office".. like we are in high school or something'! Obviously more than just us have had similar complaints!

We have since moved to Promenade Park Apartments and couldn't be happier. Please do your homework - ask the right questions - and make an informed decision!!

You don't know what a bad place to live is. Try living at Cary Pines Apartments like I did. I lived in HELL for 2-1/2 years... Now that is bad.This place The Apartments At Blakeney is great & there rules & office staff make it that way...

It is close quarters so yes we knew that we would hear others in their apartment. The property is so nice and the women in the office are great. As for the mail...yes there was an issue but that an issue with the USPS not the office. I remembered asking the leasing agent and she gave me the local postal office number and told me to ask for a number for postal general. As for the dog poop...well that is a small problem but you know its the pet owners fault. They need to pick up after their pets. Blakeney is a great place to live and it has great features. Maybe "Anonymously" you caused problems. This is an apartment so is Promenade...I bet there will be dog waste there. Oh...handling someone else mail could be a Federal Offense.
