I like my apartment itself except for the squirrels that live above my bedroom that have kept me awake all night for months and a few other minor issues. My rent was just jacked up by $100 at renewal time but I feel I still am getting a good deal compared to similar apartmenst in the area. The location is convenient and close to shopping and the apartment is huge.
The staff on the other hand is another subject. Most of them are rude. Rachel's attitude depends on the day of the week. She seems to have mulitple personality disorder. One day she is your best friend, then next she acts like you are wasting her time. She must be off her medicine. Angela has been nothing but nice every time I have come in or call. Jay is just worthless. He acts like you are bothering him when you come in the office as he stands around swinging his imaginary golf club or has to put the book he is reading down to help you. Ditzy Tonya's baby voice is annoying and fake when you can see that what you are saying is going in one ear and out the other. The maintenance staff are nice but dont take your maintenance issues serious. I have complained several times about my plumbing problems to include my toilet not flushing properly and my shower pressure and I am made to feel like I am the problem. That is the most frustrating thing.
As far as the area, although the community is in a great area you still have lots of car break ins and car thefts, sometimes 3-4 break ins in a night. I have heard there was recently a front door kicked in and items stolen from an apartment close to mine which is very scary.
The amenties are good except for the fitness center which has two TV's that do not work and several machines that stay broken for months at a time. The two pools are nice and they have two tennis courts that people let their dogs run and poop in.
Oh yeah, that brings me to the poop issue. People let their dogs poop everywhere including on the sidewalks. You cannot walk in the grass anywhere for the land mines you may step in. I do not have a dog so it is really annoying to me.
this is not the best place to live but is certainly not the worst. I have lived here a long time, but I also hate moving, so I will stay a few more years unless things get worse.
