Great place to live

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I lived for two full years in Fairington, and enjoyed very much. As anyone looking some feedback where to rent, I read all the reviews from many apartment complex and learn with time, that for the most part only people with bad experiences write the reviews.
All the Fairington staff was very courteous and polite and they do keep track of request for maintenance. The manager is great person, willing to accommodate your needs.
As I was not living in the leasing office to tell how much the people talk, the team was always attentive of any request, and as far as I can tell I never heard anyone from the team talking about tenants live or businesses.
The complex is old about 25 to 30years, but is kept in great shape. Landscaping is beautiful, if you are lucky will do friends with your neighbors, (and I have live in many rental apartments, it is first time we were that lucky).
When we just move in the washer machine which is included with the rent, broke, and I thought here we go, but called the leasing office and they switched the very next day.
Two things that I really like from the construction are: the fact that the building are very well built (long time ago) and the walls are solid, you don't hear any noise from no one, (which we visit some of the new rental buildings like Atkinson Circle, and the wall were so thin even when they were showing it, we could here the noise of neighbors and the street). The rooms are very decent size for a rental. We went to other rental were the floorplan was so ackward, you might have a very nice masterbedroom and then the secondary rooms were shoe boxes....
Parking spaces are plenty and usually you get two close to your building. As any other place in charlotte, you have to keep and eye on your belongings there have been break ins in the cars as we live there. If you have small kids got to live with the fact that from the car to the apt there is more than 100ft :>)... including steps.
The price is so competitive, I believe is the best bang for your buck in Charlotte, you get a lot for what you pay, the proximity to shopping malls, to uptown, superb schools for the kids, parks, the amenities of the rental.
We to our own home, but if we ever have to live rented again, I will have no doubt to rent at the fairington again.
