I am a resident at The Lodge at Mallard Creek and I just found out about this site from a friend. I decided to go on and see what people thought...I saw the rating prior to this one and was horrified at the lies!! I love this community, it is beautiful and peaceful. The staff is kind and always willing to help. They cant help you if you do not ask!!! Unfortunalty the hours of the clubhouse have changed...but not to 9-9 it is from 6am to 10 pm, only 2 hours off of what it was prior, and from what I understood, you were never allowed to rent the game area, just the theater. Open your eyes people...car break ins happen all over Charlotte!!!! Be happy that the CMPD show face here because they dont in the "Ghetto" complexes. As far as the girl that is gone in the office, I dont think any other residents are loosing sleep over that no matter how it happened. I dont know what they are talking about concerning a rape. If you use the crime mapping tool on charmeck.org you can look up all of the crime activity for this community, no rape was ever reported. Trust me, I would not live here if that was the case. To all of you hateful tenants...this website is not intended to be a malicious ----- session, if you have a problem speak with the office first. I bet they are pretty willing to help out.

The previous person's post ('Not a safe environment') is not completely lies. The "dog parks" are nothing more than drainage areas/ponding basins. They are NOT well-kept. The vicious dogs he/she is talking about? That's true, too. I have seen Chows and Pitbulls on more than one occasion. Cars do get broken into and stolen. I have seen three or four cars that have had to be TOWED out of the complex because they were sitting either on cement blocks or on the pavement. They continuously try to raise the rent every time you renew. I've used the car wash twice -- the hose has been turned off or completely broken at all other times.

DOGS were NOT even mentioned in this post?! Also if the residents would treat their community and those that live in it with respect I think this place would come along way.
