No matter where you live there will always be some kind of problem. There will always be cars that get broken into, rowdy neighbors, viscous looking dogs, and no matter what complex you live in parking is going to suck. The Lodge at Mallard Creek is not located in an affluent area, but it is in a middle class part of town. Unless you live in a high rise uptown, or in some rich part of Charlotte, you’re going to get some problems. I have lived here for a year, and any problems that I had were quickly taken care of by the staff. I had a problem with a window; it was fixed the next day. About those rowdy neighbors that were yelling out of their balcony, they got evicted. When living in an apartment don’t expect it to be private or quiet. There are going to be some people who make a little noise. Mari, one of the leasing consultants greets each resident BY NAME every time she sees them, and to me that makes me feel good because I know that I am not just some resident, but more. Ann, the apartment manager is constantly on top of things. If there is any problem she handles it. No one looks at the staff’s point of view. Do you think they enjoy having to evict somebody from their apartment, NO! That’s time and money that is wasted. I love living here, and I plan on living here for a while. The staff is great, my neighbors are awesome, and these apartments are one of the best you are going to find in Charlotte. Where can you find a 950 square foot apartment for the same price as you would a 600 square foot' And where else can you just stroll up to the apartment office, sit down, grab a piece of candy from Mari’s desk, and have a conversation with everyone. Stuff happens everywhere, no matter where you live. It may not be the safest place to live, but it’s not as bad as many others think. And by the way, NO ONE WAS KILLED HERE. THAT WAS AT ANOTHER COMPLEX FAR FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live here too and you need to read the paper or watch TV--there was an unfortunate incident and lying about only makes it worse! It is over and so now on with our lives --but don't tell people it just didn't happen or it was somewhere else! Be honest--it is always the best policy.

I am the assistant manager at The Lodge at Mallard creek and my boyfriend did not kill me...I am still here benniesgirl81, you should come and visit me sometime. Another apt community with a similar name had an "unfortunate incident", not us!!
