I read these other two reviews and decided that they don't communicate any of the good things about the Overlook. The first thing is the pleasant forrest-like atmosphere with beautiful trees that every apartment view shares. It's like living in the country while being close to uptown Charlotte, and very relaxing to come home to. My building was quiet most of the time and I never had problems with noise or people fighting, etc. Many friendly hard working people live here and we generally all get along fine. Management is also pleasant. They hold packages for you that got delivered while you were away, and in my case, even let in furniture delivery people for me while I was at work! You may borrow a vaccum cleaner if you need one. The laundry area takes credit cards, so no quarters are needed, I loved that! The prices of the apartments are reasonable, and they were the first apartment for me to ever waive the deposit!! No deposit! They also allow 5 days to pay the rent which is more than others do. If you're looking for a great spot just south of uptown, near to I77, excellent shopping/dining/entertainment at Park Road, this is a the place to be! The only reason I left was beacuse there are some great affordable homes for sale in Charlotte and I'm buying!
