I loved it when I moved in here, the grounds were well kept, all the staff was super friendly, but I think with all the turnover/the economy, I don't know what, it just became very unsafe and not a great place to live. The staff is a little under par (My air conditioning was broken at the beginning of summer, she finally sent someone out to look at it but not before saying "Well you know it's only going to be 80 degrees today." as if that makes a difference) If I pay to live somewhere with air conditioning, I want air conditioning! Cars get stolen and abandoned in parking lots, people get robbed, and they charge you if you leave trash outside your door. The staff seems to change once a month, so I don't think they know what's going on. Also, the power is out a lot for some reason. If there's ever a storm, ANYTHING, it goes off. I had the flu and NO POWER. Talk about miserable. I wish I had better things to say, but I just wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

They should fine you if you leave trash outside your door. This is America not a third world country. There are dumpsters for that. The power does go out a lot but that is Duke energy's fault not the Overlook. I have lived here 7 months and there is only 1 new person in the office and since her arrival there ahve been many improvments made.

Call Duke Energy if your power goes out. If you are filthy and lazy, you deserve to get fined for leaving trash outside your door. And you're complaining about crime? You rented a cheap apartment on Scaleybark Rd, do your homework and then you can complain.
