When I was leaving this apartment,
I never took in writing from Regency that all my dues were cleared.
Although the manager at the leasing office (cannot recollect her name yet) clearly told me that I had no dues. I learnt this morning that although I vacated the house on the original lease expiration date and paid until the end of that month I still had to pay for the remainder of the lease notice period although I never lived there. (Which in my opinion is a scam of taking money from people.)

I had never received any letter nor any phonec calls about this pending payment. If I had I would have paid off well in advance. After my move out of regency I specifically went a week later and left my email address, my forwarding address and my phone contact with them. The lady who took my details left them (as I found out this morning). Well thats not my fault that they did not capture my information. So insinuating that I am trying to avoid making a payment and have not provided my forwarding address is insane.

You keep hearing from them regarding some payment/ disconnection/ charges that were discovered after 5 months. Then you get calls from some credit agencies.
Ive lived in many apartments and this has been the worst ever!!!

This was probably the OLD manager that has since been fired, she was an idiot. But, anyone knows that you get everything in writing and have a walk-through done upon vacating a property and have the existing manager sign off on it! Duh. plus you get a zero balance reciept before you leave !

zero balance receipt? It may very well be my ignorance...but I have never heard of a zero balance receipt. I actually had a walk through done and a sign-off on the property...but did not get the receipt. If this is the law, shouldn't they "give" it to me? Anyways, I am asking for it going forward. Thanks!
