Overall the place is very nice. Yes, it is dated and yes it has it's issues just as I am sure most places do. The grounds are nice and the pool is beautiful. However the hot tub has not worked in several years. The staff - office and maintenance - are very nice and they do try and accommodate you as often as they can. Communication can be lax at times and sometimes the work orders for maintenance may take a follow up. Still, for the square footage that you get, the price and the proximity to UNCC, JWU, downtown, SouthPark, Plaza MidWood, NODA...it isn't all that bad. The East side does get a bad rap. Crime is low but the appearance coming down Eastway towards where our property is located could use some improvement, but I blame that on the city of Charlotte. It is a diverse community but a community that is safe and inviting. I believe the owner cares and is making every attempt to improve and update the property as the budget allows. I have made it my home for some years and I know of several long term residents who still like it here. It is very "Family Friendly" if you know what I mean for my LGBT friends. Come visit and let's make this a fun place to be.
