My girl and I moved here in February. We absolutely love the apartment and compared to the rest of the university area, we feel pretty safe here. But that is where the positives end. Our major complaint is the fact that we feel like we live in Bombay India. My estimation is that ------- make up around 70 percent of the complexes inhabitants. While the men seem to be accustomed to living in America, their wives, along with their 4 children, seem like fish out of water. They are not friendly at all and scream and run away from 15 pound dogs. On top of that, if the smell of curry makes you sick, this is not the place for you. All of our cabinets smell like curry at all times. We have tried everything to get the smell out! In fact, there is a clause in the lease that claims the apt complex is not responsible for a smelly apt. The Indian children play unsupervised at all times. At least once a day, an Indian kid will ride his bike out in front of my car. They also throw and kick soccer balls off of cars and when confronted they do not apologize or show any remorse and of course, their parents are no where to be found. My Indian friend that lives in LA came to visit not to long ago and was thrown back by what he saw. He could not believe that so many Indian people lived in one complex and he is from the United States largest melting pot!!!! I mean I understand diversity, but it seems as if this apartment complex tries to only rent to -------. I have recently spoken with an organization that is going to investigate the Traditions renting practices. But with all that said, a very nice and affordable apartment that gives you the feeling of living in a third world country. Great training for someone who is moving to India.

P.S.- Indian women walk on our treadmills in bare feet and nothing is done about it!

How racist is this crap? We live in the Tradition and the Indian people are no problem. They are not all friendly but I can say the same about the other races/ethnicities at the Tradition as well. Personally I've never seen anyone walking barefoot on the treadmill but if I did, BFD. I don't walk barefoot on the treadmill so why do I care if someone else does? The little white boys in our building have scratched my car and play unsupervised in the parking lot ALL the time as well as all over the rest of the complex. It has nothing to do with race but racists don't understand that. lol I can understand the smell of curry being disturbing because I don't really care for it myself. But the comments here just sound out and out racist. If you are that fed up with the complex, it sounds like you need to move.

Well first off, I am entitled to my opinion whether its conceived as racist, prejudice or whatever. My review is based on personal experience and I want to share my experiences with future renters. Thats the whole idea of writing a review. Plus my sentiments have been supported by many people in this apartment complex. By the way, if you do see someone walking barefoot on the treadmill, you should care. Many diseases and parasites are passed on this way. I.E.-Ringworm!!!! These parasites can be transmitted whether you walk barefoot after them or not! If you are sharing equipment with other people, you need to wear shoes!!! As far as your comment about white boys, I havent seen any white boys in this complex so I can't comment on that. You sound like my grandma, whom is black, using the term "white boy". This can also be seen as racist! Any comment or idea or thing can be termed racist, but the people that throw that word around are just looking for a crutch. I am half black and half white, so I have dealt with my share of criticism, but I have not let it stop me from succeeding, simply because I understand that people are entitled to their opinion. Crutches should only be used if a persons leg is not functioning properly. Anyway, its time to get back to work so with all that said-Have A Great Fourth of July and thanks for your response!

Outright racist comment. And surprisingly the guy tries to justify it!! It seems he/she needs to be put in a special enclosure in which no parasite/insect/ringworm/badworms/goodworms can go in.. Only sickworms might be allowed .. Gimme a brk.. get a life..

Its unfortunate that we still have such kind of divisive racist people in America. If you are half black and half white, i doubt though, you should naturally be more inclusive. The writer is indeed one of a kind and minority who does in any way represent the nation which we are today..

LOL @ the ignorami who don't understand the premise that America was founded upon. Do the words "melting pot" ring a bell? Or maybe you/y'all just don't understand what the term means? The sentiments expressed by those with the "some of my best friends are __________" (fill in the blank) speak precisely to the reasons why "Americans" are the least preferred tourists in lots of countries around the world.
