A friend of mine had told me what a bad rap the Tradition had received on this web site. I couldn't believe it! I have lived here for 3 years and absolutely love the place! I wanted to write in to let everyone know that it is a great place to live! It is true that the staff was let go a while ago because they had some problems. The new staff they have now runs a tight ship. There was no control before and as you know sometimes you have great neighbors and sometimes you have bad ones. Before, the bad ones were allowed to do anything they wanted. The neighborhood was very noisy and there was not alot of control over the kids. Since the new office staff has been there, all of the panther's have been asked to leave due to disturbing their neighbors, my noisy neighbors quited down, we don't have problems with the kids playing in the street and you can go swimming in peace. I find the community very peaceful and I enjoy coming home. I love my apartment and could not find another one like it anywhere in Charlotte (and believe me I looked!). My apartment has a huge kitchen that I can fit a kitchen table in. My dining room is big enough to fit my table and china hutch and both of my bedrooms are big enough to fit my king size bed! I'm telling you, this apartment is huge! It's almost as big as a house. The Tradition is also constantly having parties and functions for us. I don't have time to go to alot, but I like the idea that I can if I want to. Alot of my neighbors have met alot of people there. Last year there was a man who was getting out of his car when someone came up to him and stole his wallet. I think everyone here was pretty scared about that. The corporate people came in and talked to us to let us know that they were going to provide security patrols at night and put up gates at the entrance. I thought it was great that they offered to do that and showed they really cared. I was suprised when people said that they didn't want the gates but the patrol was a great idea. Since the new office staff came and kicked out the problems, they have not had any security problems and the patrol was canceled because the community was so peaceful. It really makes me mad that such a great place to live has gotten this bad rap. I would suggest that you go there and decide for yourself. I know you will see a lot of very satisfied and happy people!
