I moved here because the price was good and I liked the fact that it was a townhome. Seperate leases was a great idea so I didn't have to worry about a dead beat. I've been here almost 3 months and I can't wait to get out.
If you enjoy immature, loud, drunk fights, being robbed at gunpoint or getting your car broken into, then this is the place for you. If you're like me who likes to party but moderately and just wants to relax then I would say stay the hell away from here.

The management is pathetic. The secretaries are sweethearts and I feel bad that they have to hear from angry residents all the time. The Resident Manager is horrible and can't seem to do anything right. If you have a concern, she refuses to speak to you directly. She sits in her office and yells through the doorway or has her receptionists convey the message. She decided that having any kind of furniture on the back porch or litter from other people near you're general vicinity results in a fine. They don't even give you a day to get rid of it. They just throw it in the dumpster and hit you with a $100 fine.

The office isn't open on Sundays and god forbid you are late on rent. I wanted to turn it in by the deadline on a Sunday but they were closed. So I went to the office early the next day and they told me I had to add 5% and get a money order. A F--kin Money Order!

The Maintanence guy is nice but you have to wait a month to get something fixed and they have no problem charging you three times what a private contractor would.

Parking is horrible. They only have enough spots for the residents and then people have visitors. On weeknights, it is impossible to find a spot after 8:00PM. I usually have to walk from the extreme other end of the property.

The Cable is nice. Its included in the rent as well as internet. It's too bad the internet connection runs about as fast as dial-up. When it wants to work, it is EXTREMELY SLOW. When I called the provider, they said they knew there was a problem but they were working on it. Now I know that they've been "working on it" for three years now.

Cars and apartments get broken into. People get robbed at gunpoint and a few times, I've heard gunshots while laying in bed.

They match you up with roomates but if there's a problem with them, they refuse to put them somewhere else. My friends and I got stuck with someone that likes to break into our rooms. They claim that there has to be proven criminal activity with police reports filed.
I've got 10 months left and I dont think I can take it anymore. DO NOT move in here.. I dont know of a single person that wants to come back. Don't get yourself into the same situation; counting the days until you can leave.

Dear Mr. Mills,
Our Property Manager spends much of her time dealing directly with resident concerns; the only time she does not continue responding is when the individual uses profanity or is otherwise disrespectful of others. As with all individuals who act this way, they are asked to leave, and return when they can converse in a mature fashion.

The Charlotte Fire Marshall asked us to remove all porch and patio furniture as a fire exit hazard; we complied. After several resident notices requesting clearing of porches, we sent warning notices to remove property or it would be removed. There is a $100 fine for trash on porches; this is a health hazard and trash on porches is discouraged. We have 5 dumpsters on the property for your convenience.

Our office will be opening on Sundays again beginning the first of December. We get a little 'rest' after our busiest time of Fall move in.

Rent is due on the first of the month. Late rent (after the close of business on the 5th) must be paid with certified funds including the 5% late fee per our lease.

With the exception of the month of August, we try to resolve all workorders called in to the office within 24 hours. After hours emergencies please contact the pager number. Workorders can also be electronically sent 24/7 on our new ResidentHub.

Visitors must park outside our gates; there may not be a parking spot directly in front of resident apartments, as parking is on a first come basis, but we do have sufficient parking for all our residents.

Please check with CMPD for local crime statistics. Like most large cities, Charlotte does have an undesirable element. We do host safety meetings for our residents, and you can contact CMPD directly with any safety questions.

We also offer free roommate matching. At over 99% occupancy now, we do have less options at this time than earlier in the year, however, we do try very hard to match compatible roommates according to the information provided by each resident.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to stop by our office!

Sincerely,

Genevieve Barnhart

My roommates and I have dealt with the same type of problems. This place is rediculous. I've had workorders sent in since August, and the problems still haven't been fixed. The management does not care about their residents. If you have a problem, tough luck. It wont be taken care of. Your head will be filled with many lame excuses. I will never live here again and will not recommend anyone else to live here.
