First let me say I understand that management has to handle a lot of tenants who all want their problem fixed yesterday. That DOES NOT excuse management from donning this lackadasical attitude when handling issues. I moved in on short notice back in mid-November. The place was a pig's pen. But hey, I moved in on short notice right' I have had an exhausting on going problem with the sanitary conditions of the townhome. Due wholey in part to the roommate down stairs. Visual this with me if you would: an assortment of dishes and pots in the sink, some with stagnant water some with mold (I kid you not) growing on them. Piles of trash bags, some leaking of course in the common area. Totes of dirty laundry along the walls downstairs.
Sounds like heaven does it not' I have tried cleaning up after this person but now they must EXPECT that there is a magically elf-mommy that cleans up after them. This was obviously a problem BEFORE I moved in because whilst i was cleaning in December I found a notice (complete with pictures dated 2 weeks before I moved in) that the area had to be cleaned or they would be fined.
Garbage piled up in January and complained to management. I even cornered Genevieve and spoke to her personally about the issue. I thought it would be resolved, I understand now that it was just the brush-off. The garbage finally was taken out mid-Febuary by the roommate, but now with spring break, the bags are back. It's gross. I never use the kitchen because it is disgusting. When I called management this morning they said it was "an issue that had to be resolved through the roommates..." I was told "well why don't you just clean it up'" I explained that this is an individual lease and I am not the maid, I was told "...they would gladly come remove the garbage for $25 per bag."
Way to jump on the ball U-Club. I pay my rent on time, I am a quiet tenant, I don't drink or party. I work and focus on school. All I ask is some consideration from management, but as long as they get their money they could care less about the details. And there are other issues as well. Since I moved in my door knob had to be replaced, the sink stop broke. I had mentioned that the window screen was broken when I moved and it took them until January to fix it, then they tried to charge me. PARENTS POTENTIAL STUDENTS FRIENDS I can not stress this enough I would not wish this headache on anyone. Do your homework. Good luck.

Hi Erica,
Genevieve here. If you have maintenance issues, please do contact the office so we can enter a workorder. Generally, our workorders are completed within 24 hours, except for a few weeks in August, when our transition time occurs. As our office spoke with you this morning, trash disposal and kitchen cleanup is a resident issue. If your roommate will not respond to you directly, we welcome office appointments, with the requirement that all roommates be present, so that everyone can be on the same page. If you would like to schedule such an appointment, please contact our office. Thank you.
