So, I had a problem with my rent check over the weekend, and called within the allotted period of time to try and remedy the situation. I was told that day that I was fine and that my rent had been received. Three days later, my rent still hasn't left my account, and lo and behold WH informs me that there was a problem with the check (like I had TOLD THEM before) and that they were fining me $40 for my rent now being late. They said that if I had corrected it by the 5th of the month, then the fee could have been avoided...remember what I just said...I went to them on the 5th and they told me that everything was fine...hmm...is it too much to ask that I not be fined since I followed the necessary steps within the time frame required' I believe so, however the management at Grubb Properties (the parent of Waterford Hills) thinks I should still be liable. For all of you who are looking for apartments, be sure to ask the staff if customer service and cooperation are mottos of the parent management company. The staff here can be helpful, but they are ultimately powerless in all matters of any true importance to you.
One more thing: Don't claim your negative posts about Waterford Hills unless you are prepared to be called out by the staff. Hopefully they can forward this stuff on to Grubb...hint hint.
