I'm a current resident at Waterford Lakes, and being a single female who has to work until after dark, I have to run from my car to my apartment (which is often 1/4 mile across the grass, up hills and through puddles) making sure to look over my shoulder the entire way and lock both locks as soon as I make it to safety. I'm just downright scared when I leave my apartment. Which isn't all that bad because the apartment itself is nice and well laid out. Huge closet, garden tub, plenty of storage space, s washer and dryer was included and all of the appliances are in excellent condition. Maintenance staff has always completed any requests within 48 hours. When I walk into the office I always feel like a bother to the management staff. When coming to get a package or even drop my rent check I get a lot of eye rolling as though I've interupted them doing something important (and I can't imaging what they could be doing but thinking of ways to make the place worse). They advertise a business center, and when I went to go up there to use a computer I was informed that there was no computer in the business center. (Apparantly a business center to them is a room with a desk') It took me 4-5 tries to get a proper code to enter the gates, although I do'nt know why I need it because they are never working. The gates are more for decoration than anything else, nice idea but really aren't functional because each time they are repaired someone drives through them within 24 hours of them being repaired. Parking is hellish. Abandoned cars, cars with flat tires, unused trailers take up front space parking spaces, and I don't believe that I have seen the same set of cars parked outside my apartment since I've moved in. Rent pricing is great, but if you want to feel safe (or at least have a shorter run from your car) you will have to purchase a garage or covered spot. Although they made everyone get a parking decal at the beginning of this month, they obviously haven't tried to enforce parking regulations b/c yes that trailer is still taking up a front row space. If you insist on saying that this place is not bad, try it out but make sure you only sign a 6 month lease because I GUARANTEE you will want to move out by then. Walls are very thin, and while trying to sleep I often hear noises that I am fairly certain the people above me do not want me to hear that give me a little too much info about their intimate life. I hear sirens at all hours of the night, car alarms going off at 3 and 4 in the morning. If this isn't enough to deter you to move in just know that I am willing to pay rent at 2 places just to get out of this one. Its that bad!

They say they do...however, I have never seen them and the breakin rate is climbing, according to police. My car was broken into outside a "courtsey" officers apartment. My apartment was broken into in broad daylight, as was someone else in my building on the same day.
