I have lived at Wateford Lake Apartments from October 2004 - Present (May 15)
The apartments are spacious and I love the layout! Waterbugs are ridiculous when summer rolls around so be careful because they come out in groups of 10 and are EVERYWHERE! This complex was very nice, quiet and safe when I got here. Now, you have to watch your back to see who's watching you! Even in broad daylight. In February 2007, there were 19 break-ins!! For the year, the total was 60!! It was only Channel 9 news. Just today, the police, dogs and helicopters were out looking for the two hispanic mails that who broke into TWO (2) units in the back and trashed one woman's apartment really bad. The police stay over more than I do and I PAY RENT! I've had to call the police numerous times because of an upstairs neighbor who gets a kick out of beating his girlfriend in front of my bedroom window at 1:30AM!!! The noise is unbelievable, the walls are paper thin, hotwater runs in increments of 15 minutes so be sure to take a fast shower! Management is a COMPLETE JOKE! They could care less about you AFTER you sign on the dotted line. The "others" are taking over and moving in like yesterday's cockroaches! They're every freakin' where!!! Maintenance is great, they always fix a request within 24-48 hours. Laramar is just a money blood sucking tick! I moved in paying $600/month.... Presently, I'm paying $825!!! and for what, the broken security gates and mobile icecream cart pushers who rings those freakin' bells at all times of the day and night'!!'' NO THANKS!!! My lease expires in 2 weeks and it's going to be like winning the lottery! I'M FINALLY OUT OF ALCATRAZ! Yippeeeeee

It must suck having waterbug issues but get used to it anywhere in a southern state.I'm a little confused as to why you renewed for 5 years with such discomforts. I wouldn't expect to pay the same rate anywhere especially from 2004 until present. I suggest you purchase a house to avoid rental increases.
