Today I visited this community and could not believe what I saw. First off, the leasing agent was wearing shoes that looked like slippers. She had a huge wet stain on her shirt that looked like she had spilt a whole water bottle on herself. Second, this community does not even do a CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK on their residents. That is so scary to me. The leasing agent was saying that it would be discrimination if they didnt allow sex offenders to live there. SO that means that sex offenders are allowed to live there!!! I can not believe that they do not do a criminal background check!! I would advise everyone that is thinking about living here to check out charmeck police website and look at the crime mapping section. This place has a huge crime rate.

I live there and due to multiple issues with management, and yes, the crime rate, I'd advise people to stay away also.
But prettainpink, you're very naive to think any apartment community or any housing community can restrict a resident because of a criminal background or having a petifile background. Personally, I think petifile's should be sent to a secluded island with for strictly petifiles. But wake up, it's USA, not Natzi Germany. You'll never find a place that has those kinds of restrictions anywhere in this country.

Well actually some apartment communities do a criminal background check on leaseholders so if that person has committed a felony or assualt battery etc they can not live there. I'm not certain but I would say that sex offenders have committed a felony so therefore they wouldnt be able to live at these places.

first of all why the hell are you so worried about what the leasing consultant if wearing and second of all I do not understand why someone would tell you that doing a criminal background check on an applicant is discrimination. It sounds to me like you are full of it.

Fist of all gemi28226 we do have to worry about what they are weraing, that is the 1st impression we get from the comminity, dirty place just like their dirty staff, second of all you are the one full of it since it is true that these people say they do not do background cheks bc of discrimination, but that is not why, it is becasue they want every single penny they can get and by doing backgrounds half of the people living there wold nto be able to live there....wake up, waterford sucks! you are probably one of them....
