Everyone is right on the money. I have lived here almost 28 mos. and this is by far the worst apt I have lived in while in Charlotte. Finally out of here in a month! It does not matter how good a tenant you are, the staff tries to screw you any way they can and will NOT work with you on anything! The month to month and early lease termination fees are ridiculous. The grounds are horrible, don't even try to walk in the grass...You would think there is no policy on cleaning up after pets, There is always a huge mess in the grass in front of my balcony. Parking is a nightmare, not to mention theres a H.S. football stadium across the street (which doesn't bother me, but some people may not like the noise/parking). They have a 60-day notice to renew or vacate...I am purchasing a home and didnt even have a signed contract 60 days prior, so I tried to work out a 30 day notice...NOPE. Guess I will be wasting 800.00 on a vacant apartment. On the positive side....the apartments are pretty large and the rates aren't bad which is why I signed. I'm sure there are much better places out there.

The thing about this and any apartment is that the early termination and month-to-month policies are spelled out in writing, and they are required by law to let you know these policies. Everyone signs a lease agreeing to them. I'm moving to the apartments this month; yes, I plan to buy and know that I will have to work out the early termination requirements or give a 60 day notice. Sometimes, I've signed 6 month leases in case I'm transferred or find a home. I take the chance that the rent will go up at the end of each lease period. It's how it is. If you want a better deal (if not better living conditions), go to Berkshire Apts off of Johnston Road. They have better lease (and lease ending) policies; however, the living conditions are not what I want. You trade one thing to get another.
