I've been living at Waterford Square for 3 years. I moved into the unit because it was reasonably close to work and the rates were low and the apartments are descent. They aren't the fansiest, but they are nice and spacious enough for me. The large 1 bedroom has a very large bathroom and walk-in closet. That's all the good stuff. For the most part, the neighbors are quiet and respectful. I've come home very late at night and have never felt threatened or unsafe, althoug lights will burn out in the walkway and it will take forever to get it changed.
I did have one neighbor who consistantly played his music very loud at all kinda hours. I complained to the office staff, but nothing happened. I called the pilice on him who knows how many times, but the office staff still continued to do nothing. The only good thing they actually did was not renew his lease after it expired, but that took forever. The office staff is the most incompitent group of idiots I have ever met in my life! When my garbage disposal broke, I requested for it to be repaired. 2 weeks later, I stopped in to see what the hold up was and they told me that they didn't have a copy of my key so they had no access to my apartment. I gave them my key and they made a copy right there and said it would be taken care of the next day. A week later when it still wan't done, I stopped backl in and they told me AGAIN that they did not have a copy of my key and that they would need to make another copy. Where the h3ll did my other key go that they made'!' I also have a large DVD collection with over 300 movies. I noticed that several of my movies were magically disappearing. I am a homebody and rarely if ever have anyone over to my place, so the only people with access to my apt were the maintenance staff, and the DVD's began disappearing shortly after i put in my maintenance request. since then, i have changed my locks (which they haven't noticed because they do absolutely NO routine maintenance)and I alone have a key. The maintenance staff doesn't look professional at all.
They won't even sign for packages in the front office. The clubhouse burned down a while ago, so they were in the poolhouse as a makeshift clubhouse. I understand not signing for packages there because there was very limited room, but the clubhouse has since been rebuilt, so there is no reason (other than their own laziness) not so sign for packages. Everyone and their sister has a dog and they poop everywhere and no one cleans it up. The grounds aren't the nicest, but when the landscaping crew does come out and cut the grass, they have complete disregard for shooting grass clippings and rocks all at your car. I can always tell when the grass is cut because the back half of my car is always covered in grass.
If you are looking for something inexpensive and don't mind dealing with the buffoonery from the office staff and everything else, then it might be for you. I am DEFINITELY not renewing. If you are desperate and have nowhere else to go, then do what you gotta do, but if you have other options, please be sure to put Waterford Square last on your list!
