What first attracted me to this complex was the overall look of the area and the way it stood out among the majority of other apt. complexes. The price was great, and I being a struggling student, was more than happy to move in. What I didn't expect, however, was that the deceptively quiet, community-friendly complex by day, soon turned into a noise-filled, crime-ridden cesspool by night. I have witnessed several fist fights through my window, domestic disputes, loud music(cars), and the police showing up at 3 in the morning was a weekly event. On top of all of this, there was a HUGE roach problem in my building, and the buildings are so old and in disrepair, that after a heavy rain, the roof over my storage room actually collapsed and water flooded my neighbor's apartment (I lived on the third floor). One good thing, is that the staff is responsive to maintanence requests, but major things (such as the roof falling in) took much longer and they only half-way fixed the problem. The roaches and other insects kept coming back because the old buildings are so infested. Between the crime, the pests, and the building falling apart, I couldn't take it, and I ended up breaking my lease and got out. I think that if you choose to live here, you need to be aware and go in with your eyes open.
