I wrote the review titled "this place is ok" dated 07/19/06. Thus far I am still happy living here. I am assuming the person who replied to my pot is the same one who posted "URGENT Consumer Notice" and I would like to address you respectfully with the following facts and suggestions:
Concerning Bell Co and David Drye being affiliates, you are misinformed. Bell company manages Harris Houston for a group of private owners.I called the Bell company and asked out of curiosity since I want to know if I'll have the same eposit refund issues with Wexford that I had with Harris. Harris Houston was built and owned by David Drye for years but the ownership was transferred when David Drye died. I'm sorry to hear you are still unhappy but I dont understand how this could have gone on so long without resolution.I still live at Wexford and still have not had any problems. I dont know why you are so unhappy and want to keep complaining but if you are that unhappy why are you still living here' I'm not trying to be rude but I just don't understand why I havent had any problems without getting an immediate management response. Parking does suck though...I definately agree with that one but I think that having untagged, sitting cars towed is a great idea. I never met any other managers other then the current one but I havent been here as long as you.I can definately say that I am happy with the people working here. Neighbors I have met that have been here awhile said that the old management has been pretty good too except for a maintenance guy who was fired before the oriental guy was here so I can understand the refridgerator thing if he was as bad as they say and worked here when you moved in. Have you tried sitting down with the manager and putting all your issues in writing with a request for repair within 48 hrs' Explain that they will be breaching the lease which gives you rights to move if they dont rectify your issues within a reasonable period of time and make them sign it before you leave. I had to do that at Harris and it worked but if the manager here is a different one then who you compained to originally then maybe a different approach is needed. My mother always told me that "you have to give respect to get respect". If you call them and begin the conversation threatening, ranting and raving without giving them a chance to correct it then of course they would want to avoid you and hope you go away,I would. Try the adult approach and if it doesn't work then at least you tried and have your requests documented.I'd like to see follow up on how it goes if you do speak with them just so I know if I may have any future issues.(My lease expires in a few months and so far I am planning to renew here for another year or so. Thanks and Good luck!)

This looks more like it was wrote by the manager of the property than a renter.Do me a flaver go ask the oriental guy if he knows Taekwondo and tell him I'll see him in a week or so......

what a freaking idiot! I read the post and cannot read anything into it that flags it as written by management. Anyhoo, these apts. are ok. Parking sucks, the trash sucks and the 1br's are set up like motels but I knew that when I rented and chose the floor plan because it is cheap. Ya get what cha pay for but I can say that I feel safer here then when I lived in an apt. closer to the University. The maintenance is nice and helpful and I haven't really talked to the office ladies much but they have been nice. To sum it up: this place is ok for a RENTAL since it is too small to accomodate someone and their stuff if they lived here long term. If you have to stay here your whole life then maybe you need to find better employment. I am moving to buy a house in a few months but would refer this place to other peeps for a decent rental.
