I don't want to be one of those completely negative or completely positive resources, so I'm going to just be honest. I was drawn by the price of the 1 bedroom apartment and the helpfulness of Sekina, however things changed as soon as I met the manager. She is hardly ever there and when she is, she is very rude and I'm surprised that they let her handle tough resident issues. I've talked with a few other residents who are professional people and they have had the same experience with her and the consensus seems to be that we wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her.
Although the complex is dated, it is clean overall but is in constant need of repairs. The quality of the apartment was almost what I expected for the price. My apartment still smells like smoke, and I have been very worried about mold issues. There are signs of structural decay on my building and the bathrooms do not vent. They make you sign and agreement to wipe down the bathroom after you shower and wipe the windows when it rains. I get dizzy and lightheaded and experience light headaches only when I'm inside my apartment. If this continues I will be calling in a mold specialist.
There was domestic fight the other week and occasional partying which has kept me up. This is only from one of the neighbors, everyone else has been quite. Most people just keep to themselves except for the little girl who gave me the finger and the two little boys that seem to always be carrying sticks or poles around here, hmm' There are also a lot of people who get through the gate that don't have passes and multiple vandalism issues, so I wouldn't call it the safest place to live. So far so good for myself.
For me this is only temporary but I signed a blind lease moving from out of town and I could have afforded more and at this point should have paid a little more to feel more comfortable about something as important as where I sleep and live. Overall, in my opinion, every business should strive for referals and positive word of mouth, however I don't see it happening with Wildwood but because of the location and their pricepoint, they probably won't have much of a problem, unless ofcourse if that mold test comes back positive.
