I have read all the previous reviews and they have struck a cord in me. I am a single parent mom of two small children. My goals are to purchase a single family home in the year, send my children to private christian school, enroll them in extra curriculm activities, have a descent car to drive and be a good mother. The reason why I am telling you all this is because I am able to accomplish all the above by living at Windsor Harbor. My salary is limited but I accomplish a lot. The staff has always been supportive, have made fixes in 24-48 hr. time and do put letters on your door to keep you up to date on whats going on. The grounds are clean, but not plush & lush. I have never ventured out to the laundry because it seems unsafe, but I am usually alone. Yes safety can be an issue but where can you live where it is not. Management makes an sincere effort to make it a safe place. For example: my babysitter who stays over night sometimes had to fill out a criminal record check sheet. The noise level is average, I have never lost sleep. However, I don't recommend the other side of the bridge. And to be brutally honest I live in apt. complex, not home. People should have true expectations when moving into a low rent apt. complex. I don't think this should be a permanent residence for anyone but it is definitely a stepping stone for those trying to move forward. Reality is it is a fairly descent place.
