Be sure to get renters' insurance!

I lived at York Ridge twice, once in a 3 bdrm. in a newer section, and once in a 2 bedrm. in the original buildings. The 3 bedroom was really nice, overall, but I didn't appreciate the unannounced maintenance visits; as a single mom, it's scary to come home and find men in a back bedroom! There was also a water leakage problem that left quite a mess, due to a building flaw. The 2 bedroom was okay, but then I had a break-in. I'd previously seen workers peering into my bedroom window, behind some shrubbery. There were several 'safety' meetings, too, just before the robbery. The police, upon investigating, said that it was an "inside job"; curiously, the agents about fell all over themselves offering to let me out of my lease, basically if I'd leave quietly (and I hadn't even asked about leaving!!). Bottom line, not the worst place, but be sure to carry renter's insurance, and beware strangers in your bedroom! I won't be back. Yikes!

I think you're my neighbor that set her apartment on fire and then got upset because York Ridge held you responsible for the damage. Am I right? If I had a sewer back up in my apartment and found out that the staff new about it and didn't go in to start the repairs, I would be more upset about that.
