York Ridge

Sadly leaving after 4 wonderful years. From: Mattgrunow@hotmail.com Date posted: 3/25/2008 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2008   My wife and recently purchased our first home, and with some sadness, we now leave York Ridge Apartments behind. Living at York Ridge Apartments has been nothing but a pleasant experience for us. We moved there in June 2004, and fell in love with the location, price, and amenities immediately. I will address these three issues first. Location--Given the growth of this area, you're close to everything you could possibly ever need. Rivergate shopping center, many restaurants, choices of grocery stores, etc. You don't have to drive very far for any of the above. Even better is the fact that CATS just added a bus line that runs down Tryon to Rivergate and the stop is only about 1/4 mile from the front of the apartments. It's route #56 (which also serves the LYNX Blue Line). If driving, 77 and 485 are easily accessible. Price--Given the dramatic changes in the housing and rental markets across Charlotte, you're going to find these prices hard to beat. When we moved in we receive a "move-in" rate but even the regular market rate is extremely competitive. The units' prices are just right for the amount of sq. footage you get with any of the combinations of floor plans. Amenities--Pool, ample parking, great maintenance staff, lovely grounds, shall I go on' We always had a maintenance request answered promptly and never had any major problems. Our AC broke and it was fixed the SAME DAY. Our roof leaked and it was fixed in TWO DAYS. You try and find another staff the can respond to matters promptly and fix it correctly. The pool is terrific. It's not a small kidney-shaped pool by any means, and it has a beautiful deck area. The pool area is well kept due to the superior maintenance crew I mentioned above. The grounds are always in good shape but the drought unfortunately has done its damage. That's not to say York Ridge doesn't make every effort to keep the appearance welcoming and professional. When we finally get some rain the grounds really flourish with color. My wife and I are always going to have great memories of living at York Ridge and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relatively quiet yet well located place to reside. The staff has been absolutely terrific in handling all matters and will stop at nothing to make sure that your experience at York Ridge is wonderful.
