So much more than just an apartment

Five stars probably doesn't do the place justice. I told Ron, the owner, that I'd be happy to make my rent payment into house payments if he'd let me. The floor plan was open, with minimal hall-space. The water-heater is full sized, not the typical third- or half-sized heater that I found in my current apartment. The fixtures and appliances clean and in excellent working condition the entire time I lived in that apartment. In my new apartment here in Winston Salem, I've already had to call for repairs on things that weren't working well the day I moved in. The layout of CVA's units is excellent. I lived in a 4-unit building, like a double-duplex - no one above or below me. Most apartment complexes will pay for your water; CVA supplied free cable. A water bill is a small payment but even standard cable without premium channels can be a noticeable bill. The office was open until 6:00 in the evenings, allowing those getting off work time to get there when needed. My current apartment's office closes its doors usually before I make it home -- and there's no significant rush hour here in WS. Any problem I reported at CVA was repaired that day, usually within a couple hours. The complex itself was always neat and clean. The office staff always treated me like a valued neighbor, not just another tenant. I lived at CVA for 11 years and, had circumstances not changed, would most likely still be living there. If Page Realty ever decides to build units (or better still, condos) here in WS, I'd break my current lease to move in.
