Our son has stayed here twice, and it was an excellent experience both times.

Caralea Valley Apartments is an excellent place to stay. Our son has lived there on two occasions between 2003 and 2006. The quality of management is superb, they enforce the complexes rules for the benefit and safety of all, are receptive to their tenants, and repairs are made promptly. I can't speak highly enough of how it went for our son there, and would recommend Caralea to anyone looking for an apartment in Concord, NC.

I seriously have to question this review. I went to this complex. First thing I saw? 2 black looking thugs walking out of their apartment with their ROTWIELLER DOG on NO LEASH. That in itself was enough for me...I drove futher down, to just look at the complex. It was like the projects. Kids toys scattered all over the front of their yards and doorways of their apartments, trash, pool is so small it could barely be called a pool. I turned around and never went back. Truly, looks like projects. CONCORD? best place is Summerlin (old Summerlake) much much much better. |

I lived here 1998-2000 and the owner was a real a**hole. I hear there are different owners now, but when I was there, I had a constant ant problem in my apartment and so did everyone in my building. I complained about it constantly and they never took care of it. My apartment was always clean with no crumbs or food left out, etc, and that's what my neighbors said- we would even go so far as to keep our crackers and bread in the refrigerator due to the ants! I even had ants in my bathroom, in my face cream- it was horrible. The walls are paper thin and I had to get up for work at 5am, and my neighbor had a tv on the other side of my bedroom wall blaring loudly all night long- it was not loud enough to call the police but it was loud enough for me to write letters of complaint and beg the management to get the lady to be considerate, and not be up yelling on the phone all night long and playing loud music and tv all night. I was so sleep deprived, I was miserable, it was night after night. I continued to complain about the noise and the ants until they raised my rent and that was the last straw. I talked to someone who had a similar apartment as me and their rent was in the $300's at the time, and mine was being raised to $475. One last thing, the managemtn came into my apartment a lot without giving me notice and I got into an argument with the ex-owner and he threatened me once. I hope this place is better now, I did NOT appreciate all this trouble as a single young female. |
