Caralea Valley Apartments are the last place I would ever recommend to anyone I care anything about. The manager is hateful and vendictive.
The "playground" is a nightmare if you are a parent. The "swings" are an A FRAME formation with absolutely nothing hanging from them. A little girl got her first stitches from the rusted flanges that hold the chain to the rubber seat back in the spring of 2007. The management took the swings down and never even hung new ones back in their place. The matal A FRAME formation still stands in concrete pillars which protrude from the ground. Any toddler who smacks their head on that jagged concrete will have to have stitches as well, no doubt...
There is a "HOLDING POND" right behind the playground. A metal drainage pipe at least 3ft. in diameter (plenty big enough for a child or predator to hide in) juts out into the "Holding pond". The end of the drainage pipe is eroded and rusted, also a safety hazard to children. There is no fence around said pond. When it rains really hard the pond will flood and stand for up to 3 or 4 days because of the trash in the collecting end of said pond, (that is when we had rain). The standing water creates issues with mosquitos in the summer. There is no fence around said pond.
The pool is a joke. Good luck catching it open. And when it is open, it is dirty.
The fitness room is also a joke. The treadmill hasn't worked in 3 years...
Beware the plumbing. If you have trouble with your plumbing I highly recommend a professional plumber at your own expense virsus letting those guys into your place.
You can hear right through the walls. If you stand on your neighbors porch (and visa versa) you can hear EVERYTHING GOING ON INSIDE THE APARTMENT...
The appearance is nice on the main drive through the property, but they do nothing as far as landscaping on the side roads.
