I am a fairly new resident here at Concord Chase. Today I, along with the other tenants in my building, received a fine for $25 due to the fact that there was trash outside of the building. I pretty much keep to myself. I don't go outside and I make sure there is no trash outside of my door or on my patio. So naturally, I believed that it was very unfair for me to have to pay for other people's nastiness. There was only trash on one person's patio and more trash in front of that tenants residence. I believe that only that tenant should have been fined, not the building as a whole. So when I went and approached the property manager about the issue, I remained calm and stated how I felt that that was wrong. She told me that it is our responsibility as a community to keep our area clean. I agree, however it is wrong to punish everyone for one person's actions. She told me that that was the end of the discussion and dismissed me! I am not a child. I didn't appreciate her talking down to me. I told her that I've never disrespected her and I'm not disrespecting her now so there was no need for her to dismiss me like I'm nothing. I continued stating my beliefs, she told me to get out. When I continued to talk with the assistant manager, she threatened to call the police(I was still calm... I didn't raise my voice or act out of order) I told her that that is not fair to do, I am simply telling them how I feel and I believe she is disrespecting me. As I finished talking to her Assistant, she's in the back screaming,"Oh my God, she is still talking, does she ever shut up'" I have never felt so disrespected in my life! That is not how you speak to people. So anyway, their argument was that I should come out of my house if I hear someone outside and tell them that they need to clean up after themselves. I don't know how these people would respond to me telling them anything. Someone could get upset and argue with me or even hit me for telling them anything. I don't think that I should have to risk my safety, and it's wrong to fine me for basically keeping to myself.

I had a situation with Miss Gail too. She wouldn't talk to me until I calmed down. When I stopped talking and let her speak, we talked. She explained things so I understood the reasons, and before we were finished, I felt better. I may not agree with everything, but I have to respect the way they try to make our place a nice place to live. If Miss Gail had a problem with you or anyone else, you must not have been as calm as you said. And Miss Gail screamed? You must have really been carrying on!

Considering my own experiences, either you're a "Miss Gail" favorite or "Miss Gail" herself posting to try to counter this persons reasonable statement that only the person messing things up should be fined if it's obvious who the culprit is. As for the it being the resident's responsibility to discuss with a neighbor she doesn't know to keep their area clean... it's that what management gets PAID to do? Isn't it also managements job to listen to their residents. Most likely the fellow residents didn't want the trash out there either, but it's not their responsibility to take it up with their neighbor, it's management's responsibility, nor should they be penalized because management didn't want to do their job and decided to simply fine the entire building rather than confront the resident who was to blame.

My neice is relocating to the area and I drive by these apartments daily, they look nice from the road but if there is this much drama and issues with management I don't believe I will recommend this apartment complex.
