I lived at Marina Shores (Formerly Alta Harbour) for 14 months. During the majority of my stay I felt as though the management expected me to destroy my apartment and move out without notice while owing them months and months of back rent. From day one the management treated me as though I were a threat to their bottom line. The management took every opportunity to levy hidden fees and fines and used ineffective communication to delay their responses to important questions. There were frequent lapses in the consistency of the management?s response to basic questions about their lease and policies. The same policies were changed without notice to or input from the tenants. On two separate occasions I was directed to contact an area manager at the management company (BNP Residential Properties) to have my concerns addressed: I was never able to talk to the person I was referred to as she was unavailable and never returned my calls. There were frequent break-ins and vandalism to tenant vehicles (at least five occasions that I know of) as well as inadequate parking for those vehicles. The ?security? service they employ consisted of one man in one car who would ?patrol? the complex after dark: I worked odd hours during my time there and I rarely saw any patrols at all. It is no surprise that they should change their name. If you are considering an apartment complex in Cornelius or the surrounding area I would avoid Marina Shores. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn
