If Laurel Oaks apartments is your only option for housing in Cullowhee, NC, I would pitch a tent in the woods. You would be happier being homeless. The apartment was filthy on the day our daughter moved in. The so-called manager, Gwen, is a nut. If I owned these apts., the first move I would make would be to FIRE her. She single-handedly ruined my daughter's college experience. She cannot wait to get away from Cullowhee and I don't blame her.
