Gary may be an adequate maintenance man, but is clueless in terms of management skills. Gary has a serious drinking problem. I work full time. When I need to bring a problem to his attention "after hours", I expect, at a minimum, that he is able to speak coherently when communicating his plans to address the problem.

The female staff is surly and/or unknowledgeable, definitely not 'customer oriented'.

The complex is rapidly gaining a reputation as a 'party place', especially around the pool, and yes, I agree with the previous comment: Gary is part of that problem, as well. It is awkward to live at the same place that you work. Good business management skills would dictate that you party elsewhere. Don't party with the clients. When you need to discipline (because of noise, dryer lint, dog poop, whatever) you loose credibility if you are viewed as a 'buddy'.

I agree with the above post, but I would like to make one exception. I had a great experience with one of the female staff in the office. Jami made my "move-in" pleasurable and comforting. She has even gone out of her way to introduce other residents my age (50 and over) to me that are looking for friendship. Also, whenever I have a problem or concern, I always wait until she is in the office to address my concern. That way I know that my issue will be taken care of promptly and correctly.

You're right, she's conscientious and caring. Riverwalk will be the worse when and if she leaves.
