Alexan Place is an excellent apt. complex. The apartments are new (built in 2002), spacious (2 bdrm over 1100 sq. ft. w/9 ft. ceilings), and conveniently located (close to grocery stores, shopping malls, downtown Durham, and soon a Super Target). Others spoke of break-ins here. I moved here from a ghetto apartment in Carrboro, and can safely say that Alexan Place is very safe and very well-lit in comparison. The office staff is very friendly a well. Rent isn?t so bad - $850/mo. for a 2 bedroom after factoring in the first 2 months free. The only complaint I have is that the parking spaces are narrow. I have gotten a few scratches and dents on my car from others? car doors. I highly recommend Alexan Place.
