Overall I urge you to please not rent form The Atrium. To briefly explain my reasoning, the staff is quick to promise improvements and apologize, but results never happen. The air conditioning in our unit didn't work from day one, and wouldn't even cool to the outside temperature at night! We informed the staff immediately, but despite many visits from maintenence and eventually being promised a new A/C unit, nothing ever happened except for $160/month electric bills, which we traded in for fans we bought from Wal-mart and $35/month electric bills.
The office staff and the bookkeepers often have problems, as we have our rent automatically billed to a credit card monthly, yet we received a nasty letter that it was not received and we owed penalty fees. We were not alone, as I am aware of AT LEAST four other residents who also received such letters, several on multiple occasions, all of which were incorrect.
The final straw and most important issue what a mistake in ordering painting, in which they accidently gave a painter the key to our apartment, who ensued to remove all of our curtains, paint everything including our belonging, and help themselves to our personal items including our digital camera and home movies including our wedding video! When contacted about this, they did return the items, but The Atrium claimed no responsibility, and said that in the future they would double check which keys they gave out. They offered no other compensation of any kind for the incopetent action which lead to the damage of our belongings and violation of our privacy. I urge you to not rent here, or if possible from any other Triangle Community apartment, as I assume the same incopetent book keepers send out nasty letters there as wel..
