Still the ghetto

I glanced over some of the other reviews here, and although the Atrium doesn't seem to be quite as bad as it once was, I still do NOT feel safe here. The apartments themselves are fairly nice, but the area is not safe. Before I moved in with my boyfriend, his apartment was broken into. We often hear gunshots nearby (every few weeks or so), and just last week, when I was coming home for lunch, the area directly across the road was roped off with yellow police tape, complete with squadron of cars and 2 ambulances. This is the third place I've lived in Durham, and I cannot WAIT to leave it!
