False sense of security and genuity

We've been living here for 7 months now, and cannot wait to get out.
The whole "gated community" sales pitch is a joke.
If the gates aren't broken, they stay open long enough for at least 5 cars to pull in behind you.
After several people driving into them, you would think they'd be smart enough to install a security camera to see who's doing it.
The management staff always acts like they care about your concerns, until it comes down to acting on them.
We just had a re-pipe of the entire unit, where a company came in and left our apartments unlocked (and unaccompanied for the most part) from about 8am-7pm, they broke 2 of our doors, which we reported and still no one has come to fix them.
We still have work orders in from the day we moved in that have not been acted upon.
It can get quite noisy with people on their balconys, but I started wearing ear plugs to bed so I don't notice the noise anymore.
The demographics here are pretty mixed, but half the time I feel like I'm living in the ghetto.
My boyfriend travels during the week, so I'm alone often, and I do not feel very secure.
A child could probably pick the locks.
When I expressed my concerns about my security to a member of management, they asked what building I lived in, and when I answered they said "ohhhh".
One positive thing I will say, is that the scenery is very nice.
We feel like we live in a treehouse, so it can be very peaceful.
I think we are just living on the wrong side of the tracks.
It seems like the apartments that are located on the same side of the office are in a much nicer area.
