Bridges at Southpoint formerly Sterling Park

Safety: There is a long, wooden walkway to get to the back apartments. There is only one light to brighten up this area. However, the light on our walkway was burnt out for over a month and no one bothered to fix it despite the fact that mostly single women lived in the back apartments.
Management: The management team has changed since my roomate and I moved in a little less than a year ago. They were once nice and friendly; now, they are rude and careless. For instance, I went to pay the rent on January 6th (after the office had been closed for New Years on the 1st) and was told that my check would NOT be accepted. The staff member was extremely and unneccesarily rude to me. She then told me that a late fee would be assessed and that the funds would only be accepted if certified. I called the general manager who was just as rude and not in the least bit compassionate. Although the office was closed on the original due date of the rent, they absolutely refused to bend for a tenant who had NEVER been late with rent before. This was absurd.. especially since they WOULD not even accept my check even though there had NEVER been any problems with previous payments.
Parking: A true nightmare! Oh MY! When we first signed our lease, the office staff told us there was ample parking and no need to assign spaces. However, if you come home after 5 p.m. expect to walk quite a bit to reach your apartment door.
Renovations''' The complex has recently begun a wall renovation project in which they block off half of the available parking spaces. Mud, clay and stone (along with the occassional wheelbarrow) are left in the parking lot for cars to run over and feet to step in. Undoubtedly, we will probably be charged for the clay stains on our carpet when we move out''
Noises: There were a few incidents when I could hear the music from the apartment below me. I called emergency maintenance to take care of the problem. However, I was told to go down and solve the problem myself. When I went down to the other apartment, there was no answer. I called the emergency maintenance again. They then told me to call the police because they had no power over other residents. I then called the police who took care of the issue. This was a bit ridiculous!
Maintenance: They are always on time with requests and are very personable. One of the maintenance men even offered to take my trash to the dumpster one day as I was on my way out the door :)
