My husband & I lived at Deerfield when we transferred into the area. We are currently getting ready to move back there. We really enjoyed the multiple ammenities at Deerfield.

Even though some people don't like the starlings roosting, we actually loved this. It was also of great enjoyment to be able to walk right into Duke Forest. We would frequently see "families" of deer, as well as frogs, lizards, fish, birds, etc. Lots of trees...lots of bamboo!

The screened in porches are excellent. Our cat loved it. She could sit "outside" and watch the birds & squirrels for hours on end.

The outside storage was wonderful. We had a 1-bdrm, so we really needed the extra storage. Going back, we will get a 2-bdrm.

The pool & hot tub were always kept very clean, as was the work-out room. The staff were very helpful & couteous. One thing mentioned in another review was the moving out notification issue. We didn't really have a problem with this. Most other apartments have the same policy or something very, very similar. Typically, you see 30-day notice. Here, I think it was 60-day notice.

We had no problem with noisy neighbors or being able to hear through the walls. It seemed that the people who lived near us were all single college/grad/professionals. There were some families there but not many that I saw.

All in all, a wonderful apartment complex. It is probably the best we have ever lived in, and that is saying alot (12 in 8 yrs between the two of us).
