Very nice apartments, expensive, hideous management company

After reading several other reviews, I feel I must amend my own review.

I looked at these apartments while they were being built (the original phase off Chin Page) and I know the construction quality is good, at least. Lived at Edinboroug for three years in a 1245 sq ft fantastic apartment with a giant garage (450 sq ft). I never had much of a problem with noise. The worst I ever experienced in my second floor apt. was one couple who lived above me and then only when they had visitors. It wasn?t bad, just noticeable.

Facilities were excellent. I moved the first year they painted the grass, but I think the whole thing is silly. Why not give that extra money back to the residents' Price was very expensive (I was paying $1145 when I moved).

Office staff was generally good (particularly Angel), though the management company was beyond strict (I was one day late with my last payment - after three years of on time payments! - and they tacked on an extra $50 and would only accept a cashier?s check). I don?t really blame the office staff for that as they have to follow the rules of the management company. Maintenance staff was generally timely and fixed most problems the first time (save for my flooding garage that took two years to repair), though again they were very strict about the grounds being cleared AT ALL TIMES of all objects (I set two plants out in front of my garage one day to get some rain and they were discarded within the hour). Pray you don?t have to break your lease though because it?ll cost you two months? rent.

You might think that after living there for three years, I?d have more to say. Not really... pretty much the only reason I moved was because it was so expensive. I now have a house that?s twice as big for $100 less/month.

I somewhat hesitate to recommend Edinborough, though overall they are better than they are worse. I recommend it based on the quality of the apartments and facilities and the staff, not because of the management company or the few problems they encounter (like that perpetual gate issues).
