it's ok, not 'luxury'

I've lived in here for a year now. My fiance lived here before as have a few of our friends.
We moved in here this time because we got in on a promotion. Our rent is very reasonable right now. However, we are looking for a house to buy and our lease is up in a couple of months (they require 2 months notice to leave). We wanted to go month to month but our rent would have doubled. The only way we could afford to stay is if we signed an 8 month lease. So we are stuck here for another 8 months. (it would have been too much trouble and too costly to move anywhere else right now). This is a time when I've seen apartments here stay empty for 6 months or more. Considering the fact that we have been really good tenants more than once and they are having a hard time keeping their apartments filled, it seems they could have worked with us.
The maintenance staff always came the same day we called. Sometimes they had to come back more than once, but they were always nice (but a bit smelly).
I don't see the luxury. The workout room is full of equiptment that doesn't really work properly, and most of them work the same muscle group. The eliptical machine is really sad.
I have pets and like the fact that they are pet friendly, but they don't enforce the pet rules. There is poop every where. I always poopy scoop, it angers me that other pet owners are not as responsible. There is supposed to be a fine for not scooping, but it's never enforced.
The plumbing noises are horrible. And if I'm in the bathroom I can hear every word that is said in the bathroom/bedroom above me.
So, if you can get in on a deal, (and you know you won't have to break your lease), you don't expect luxury, you don't mind open gates, and you don't mind poop, then this place is a good place to live. It's much better than other places I've lived.
I've never seen a roach!!
