The apartments are nice, but they are way overpriced, and the rent increases much more than we expected ($950 to $1080- 14% increase). It was very convenient for me to get to work, but very inconvenient to everything else, including grocery stores, shopping, and pretty much everything else. With the new mall coming in, shopping will be close by, but I suspect traffic will be pretty bad once that mall is completed. The parking situation at the apt. was horrible at times- there are just not enough spaces. Sometimes I would have to park 5 or 6 buildings away, which was a pain particularly after grocery shopping. Residents with 2-car driveways/garages that only park one car there and park the other in the open spaces create some of this problem, and an overabundance of handicapped spaces doesn't help (not to be un-PC, but 8 out of the 12 spaces next to my building are designated as handicapped spaces, and no handicapped resident lives in my entire building). Many residents park in these handicapped spaces anyway. The mailboxes and trash receptacles aren't very convenient either, unless you live in one of the few adjacent buildings near one of the two. The recycling opportunities are poor. The clubhouse has relatively nice facilities, but my roommate found the weightroom quite limiting (no free weights). There is an indoor lap pool and an outdoor pool, both of which are nice features. The landscaping is average, although they have the bizarre practice of painting the grass green. I found this to be somewhat dismaying and environmentally unsound.
