Good: The apartments are beautiful. Most of the neighbors are friendly. Free alarm systems are included. Two outdoor pools, one indoor pool. Nice workout facility. Beautiful landscaping.

Neutral: Location of shopping. There are two Food Lions nearby, and a Lowe's and Kroger once you get to Cary. It's a little inconvenient, but not as bad as some of the other reviews might have you believe. Convenient to I-40, though the worst part of I-40!

Bad: 50% of what I was promised when I was shown the apartment was not true, from the hours of the pool to the availability of dish tv, to whether maintenance would help me install my washer and dryer, not to mention the amount I was told to bring for move in suddenly went up when I showed up to get my keys! The construction is horrible. I hear my neighbors' stereos, their toilets and showers, etc. My phone lines haven't worked since I moved in and they will not take responsibility for the poor wiring. Maintenance, while nice, are exceedingly slow to respond. Rental rates are random - a duplicate floor plan in the community costs a neighbor $150 more a month than what I pay. The security gates are closed and properly functioning only about 1/2 of the time. Right now, neither of the two closed circuit cameras on the gates are working. The laundry rooms are inconvenient, the dryers take two runs to get a load dry and you can't use quarters - you have to recharge a prepaid card at the office, during office hours! First floor apartments are crawling with pesty bugs like spiders. There are some disrespectful neighbors (littering in your own parking lot -- how classless!) but you risk that anywhere. The office management (like Angel) is quite possibly the rudest person I've ever met, though the leasing consultant Jeff is nice. Pathetic recycling facilities. Inconvenient garbage collection. Water pressure in the shower is poor unless you modify their water-saving shower heads.

Overall: More bad than good. There are better places to live for the money Edinborough charges.
